Clinical Medical Assistant Program

This program will train you to assist physicians in a variety of clinical functions and responsibilities, including how to prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking and documenting vital signs, assisting with routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, and proper use and administration of medications, as well as understanding professional behavior in the workplace and ethics of healthcare. This program is comprised of 140 hours of classroom lecture and hands-on labs, and a clinical internship* opportunity of 160 hours at a local healthcare provider. Upon successful completion of this program, students would be eligible to take the following national certification exams: National Health career Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) examination National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Clinical Medical Assistant (CMAC) exam.
